- Will formatting be preserved?
- Most of it — bold, italic, headings, lists, tables, images. Complex layouts (text boxes, column breaks) may reflow. For exact fidelity, use Word's built-in Save as PDF.
- Are fonts embedded?
- Common fonts (Arial, Times, Calibri) are fine. Custom fonts may fall back to default. For guaranteed fonts, convert in Word first.
- Do comments and track changes show?
- Revisions are flattened; comments are excluded by default. Toggle 'include comments' for review-style PDFs.
- What about password-protected DOCX?
- Unlock first — the tool can't handle encrypted archives. Remove the password in Word, then convert.
