- What's Pomodoro?
- 25 minutes of focused work, 5 minute break, repeat 4 times, then a longer (15-30 min) break. Technique by Francesco Cirillo from the 1980s.
- Is the pattern adjustable?
- Yes — different lengths, ratios, and long-break placement. Some prefer 50/10, others 90/30 (the '90-minute cycle' rule).
- Does it run a live timer?
- Yes — starts at your click, counts down, notifies when done. Plus a planned timeline for the whole session.
- Why timed work?
- Forces breaks, limits fatigue, creates completion rewards. Not everyone thrives on it — some deep work benefits from longer unbroken stretches.
